The holiday season is already in full swing. We here at Event Architects have been busy planning executing some of the hottest parties for the 2009 holiday season. One of our favorite catering vendors to work with is Entertaining Company. The following article highlights some of my personal food favorites from the fabulous menus that Entertaining Company has worked with Event Architects to create for a few recent holiday events…

Passed Hors D’oeuvres: These little noshes are a perfect way to start off an evening of festivities.

Vegetarian Based Butternut Squash Soup - This soup is served hot from small glass shooters and is the perfect blend of wintery taste & texture.

Meatloaf & Whipped Potatoes with Lingonberry Sauce Served on Top Garlic Crostini - Creamy potatoes, tasty meatloaf, and tart lingonberry sauce all served on a slice of baked bread. This hearty appetizer is a small meal all on its own!

Specialty Drinks: A drink inspired by the season? That’s the spirit!

Chocolate Covered Candy Cane Martini- Made with Vanilla Vodka, Baileys Chocolate Mint Liqueur, and Garnished with a Mint Leaf and a miniature candy cane, this drink tastes like Christmas!

Holly Cosmopolitan- Mix Flavored Vodka, Tangerine Liqueur, Cranberry and Tangerine Juices, Garnish with Floating Cranberries and you’ve got a drink that even the Grinch would enjoy.

Desserts: Just when you think you’re stuffed beyond belief- how can you resist one final temptation?

Apple Fritters- These doughy, sweet bites filled with apple deliciousness are served on wooden skewers and perfectly complement a Hot Chocolate Spiked with Baileys, made with Ghiradelli Chocolate and fresh whole milk.

Lavendar S’mores - While s’mores are a childhood dessert favorite, Entertaining Company adds a touch of fancy to these little treats with a hint of sweet lavender.

Homemade Marshmallows- Looks like a miniature snowball! Grab one of these sugar-coated confections for a bite-sized holiday treat.

Entertaining Company always surprises and impresses us with their unique menu options and while these are only a few of several great choices, they will gladly work with you to create a personal menu for your next event. For more information on this caterer, please contact:
